Personal data Any personal data entered into the website or when booking is retained by Sarah Redman Photography in the following ways. Your data is not sold on or sent to any other party and is retained for the sole purposes of business. I will not keep your personal data for any longer than necessary, taking into account any legal obligations I have (e.g. to maintain records for tax purposes) and any other legal basis I have for using your information.
When contacting me via the contact form - you are asked for your name, email and telephone number along with your message. This data is used for the purposes of responding to/dealing with your enquiry. The data is automatically stored and retained for as long as practicable to allow me to fulfil the service, keep a record of our conversations and analyse the effectiveness of my service.
When entering an email address to view galleries –the collected email addresses are regularly deleted, they simply form an extra layer of security/traceability in the unlikely event that anyone other than clients and their family and friends gain access to the galleries.
When placing an order - The client albums and shopping cart utilize SSL security. Client albums are hosted externally by Online Picture Proof. Their privacy policy can be found here
Payments are processed securely through PayPal. I do not take nor retain any payment or processing information other than your name, address and contact details in order to contact you if necessary, and complete delivery of your order. The data protection provisions of PayPal can be found here
As a client, you are required to complete a booking form/contract of services. The details include your name, address, email and contact details along with the details of your wedding arrangements (venue, date etc). The contract also includes details of your partner or details of other people included in your portrait session (in some cases ages and gender). This information is held securely and is retained until the contract has been fulfilled. Once the contract has been fulfilled some information such as your name address and contact details will be kept for the purposes of orders/requests at a later date and will be listed on invoices which must be kept for a minimum of 3 years.
As explained within the contract terms and conditions, the use of photographs is integral to my business in order to refresh and update my portfolio. The copyright of any images remains with Sarah Redman Photography. As a client you do have the option of selecting whether the photographs will be shared at all, either online, through social media channels or on the website. Whilst permission is obtained from the subjects of photographs, guests/people appearing in the background of images etc. is not totally avoidable. If you do see a photograph of your self/child on the website or social media pages and you would like it removing please contact me info@sarahredman.co.uk in the first instance.
Newsletter subscription When entering any personal details on the website, or when completing a booking form/contract, you will have the option of receiving updates about the services I offer. If you check this box you will receive an email from me to confirm your subscription to the newsletter. Only after you have confirmed your subscription will you receive any newsletters. Newsletters are sent on a quarterly basis using Mailchimp with occasional emails regarding offers and promotions. I only use Mailchimps mail services and do not use the marketing/advertising platforms they offer. You may unsubscribe at any time from this newsletter. Controlling your personal information You may request a copy of the personal data I hold in an electronic format. I will respond to your request within 1 month by providing the data in electronic format. If you find any inaccuracies, I will delete or correct it promptly. Please contact me:-
